i want to make a custom steel snorkel, just wondering what diameter pipe i should use, i am thinkin 3" also does anyone have pictures of thier custom snorkels, especially pictures of how you connected to the airbox. chers guys |

i made mine the same size as the inlet on the air box and used a dobson pre cleaner. |

i want the top to curve back, like the comp trucks so snorkel heads dont bother me. i also want the outer part of the snorkel to be all steel, no silcone joiners, just need to figure out how to meet the pipe to the aircleaner, can you buy a reducer from 3" to what ever diameter the fitting on the aircleaner is |

i used a radiator hose from a bulldozer to join the snorkel to the airbox.

I used 3" aluminium pipe with rubber bends I got from a truck bits store. The pipe was free from a local aluminium suppliers offcuts bin which they let me have a look through. I used s 3 to 2" reducer to connect up to the airbox. |

i like that last one, it follows the lines nicely. it really needs a bend in the top so the head sits level. |

I know...the plan is to get one of those flash looking newer style heads you see getting round on the TJM kits etc. It will blend in just nicely then. |
