Post subject:  gaurd cutting help

hey every one im wanting to cut my gaurds on my zook, i want to cut it to the top of the crese in the gauards, and to the bottom of the grill. the question is can i remove the whole inergaurd unbolt it of the fire wall and cut it off when i cut the gaurds, is this a bad idea to remove the whole inergaurds? not to worryed about legal or not, i want to fit 33s and move the diff forward with ruf.i tryed sarching but found nothing. thanks

You can take it all off and separate it, but just be careful when youre joining the lips back up. I joined the inside guard to the outside guard a little too close to each other near the firewall, so a teeny bit of hammering was needed to get the guard to bolt back up to the firewall.

Virtual lift will fit 35$ with hammering and
will just rub with 37$. Need to do a bit more hammering

is there any disadvantages of removing the whole iner gaurd and cutting the head light bucket out as well? i was going to move the battry to the back and run a brace along the gaurd for strenth as the iner gaurd looks like it suports the gaurd.
