Post subject:  CA18 into a sierra

so i have come across a ca18de and auto box cheap.. everything is there for the converions..

has anyone put one into a sierra??
if so how hard was it??

It has been done transfer needs to be moved back 150 mm approximately to fit the box so it's not a real easy fit in a shorty drive shaft angles would be bad in the rear.

No such thing as " everything there", you will always need other thing's to do a conversion.

dont touch ca18 engines with a 10 foot pole- complete crap! my mate put one in his exa...6 months later.. BAM herpes.

ca18's r a great motor very reliable and can take a floging. i was going to do this to my zook but not keen on moving transfer case back.

X2 very strong engine just a lot of work to get in a swb
