Post subject:  Need help - replace my pinoin seal

hello friendly zookers
i have to replace my pinoin seal this weekend, apprently it has to be done up and put in with different tensions using a torque rench, i have all toold and a good head, all i need to know is measurements if they are not in my manul (i have not looked) haha,
does any one know tensions?

If it's not in your manual then it will be in the download section on the left side on your screen.

it was in a radond section 180 pages in :| with a description and pis about 7cm down and 10 across,

F##kn tight, woh tourque rench failed, rattle gun failed extended pipe failed have to talk it into old mans factory during the week lol myy gossh

If you're using a Rattle Gun on the pinion nut, you should have or make up a plate on a handle to bolt through the flange bolt holes to hold it fairly firm while you undo the nut. Just applying the handbrake to hold the rear axle and therefore the diff while apply rattle force will cause the pinion to repeatedly hammer the crown wheel and either fatigue or indent the gear faces.

Have you unstaked the crimp on the pinion nut which sets into a keyway in the pinion?
