Hi guys, this is my 1st post on this site i have been reading alot of other post and the info that is coming out of this forum is sweet! Anyways got a little prob... I have a 2inch suspension lift (1 leaf on each removed for a better ride/flex)... Rockcrawler in the rear and efs springs in the front, 2 inch extended shackles, hilux shocks in the rear and rancho's in the front. I have installed all of this myself and now i am left with a leaning zook. I have measured from the bottom of the rim to the top of the wheel arch and my heights are clockwise from drivers front- 690mm, 685mm, 720mm, 735mm. It means that the 30inch tyres are scrubbing at lock. I have taken it to pedars they said it might have a bent chassie, this has been throw out by cross country 4x4, they said one of my leafs must have a different camber. Is there anything else that it could be?? It is driving me insane!!! |

Drivers front 690mm Drivers rear 685 Passenger rear 720 Passenger front 735 Correct? how old are the springs? put the leaf back in the right rear and check its not bent |

it sounds like the standard sierra lean, there has been a few threads about fixing it... some have put an extra leaf in the left rear i think? welcome to auszookers & blackwood was my old stomping ground!! |

Correct with the measurement, springs are basically brand new, been leaning since i bough them new! |

might have to go to the shed and try what ya said atari! Cheers.. I hate suspension!! wouldn't putting a extra leaf in one corner make for a interesting ride... I had considered it! The other thing is when i jack from the rear driver leaf it doesn't lift the front up when i get the back to 720mm... the front still stays at 690ish if that make sense. |

although it willl be a lot of work I would pull both rear springs and see if the free camber (amount of arch) is the same or lower on the drivers side FWIW the only sierra lean I have ever had is from a buggered bodylift block twisting the front clip, but I have only used Quality Australian made springs |

Mine had this lean when I first got it. Mine was caused by my shackles being bent on one side of my zook. I took them out and straightened them on the press at work. With them now staight I found that my left front, front spring perch was also slightly bent. Using the stretcher at work and a little heat I bent it back into place. After all that it was finaly sitting with the front end down about 15mm. Then I took it out for a big day and bent the absolute shit out of my left front spring so that is when I put my old factory rears up front (RUF) and I have fallen in love with it all over again. When I did the RUF I put a new set of shocks in and its like a hole nother car.... |

45mm difference on the front seems to be a massive amount. You may be getting a false reading by measuring to the top of the wheel arch clip as well. They only true way to tell unfortunately is to remove both front springs and flip them upside down and place beside one another on the concrete. |

Yeah valid point hutch. I just removed the two rears and compared them on the concrete they have the same arch.... Fu*k!!! I then put the leaf i took out back in the drivers front and hey presto.... All level.. my measurements are 720 in the front and 705 in the rear. I spose that means that it could be the front leafs that have the different arch not the rear as cross country had said! Looks like i will be taking the fronts out to check, but maybe tomorrow night. Did i mention i hate suspension! |

I'm pretty sure efs dont have different camber from side to side. i bought mine through cross country aswell. when i asked them if they did have a left and right side they had not a clue, but when they arrived a simple check side by side showed they were the same next to each other. Chop |

The old put them side by side trick only tells half the story though. If the spring rates are different between the springs, and this happens more often then not, the only way you'll see the difference is when weight is applied. Try standing on them, if you're a fat bugger like myself, and get someone to measure them. Don't forget the drivers side is heavier then the passenger side. |

Yeah i did that in the rears but i didn't have anyone to measure them. I put a pencil mark on the floor and they scratched a expanded line. Also i asked if they had catered for extra weight on the drivers side and both the efs and the rockcrawlers dont in sierra's (weired)! But cheers for the heads up! |
