Post subject:  g16a vit carby to sierra wires?

i got a 1.6 carby to put on a g16a in my sierra how hard is it to connect the vit carby wires to the sierra loom there seems to be 1 or 2 extra wires(cant remember exactly right now) what would they be for

hahaha i was just about to post the same question but i have my g16a in and running it runs sweet as but my idle is about 1500rpm(by ear) and ive tried to connect the wires different ways and it does nothing but one way did blow a fuse so ive left them off for now (dont know if i have a prob with the carb) i think it shouldnt idle if they arent connected but ill be watching this for answers cheers

i got mine wired up today ill have to check wire colours again but i looped 2 together and connected them to a power and earthed the other two mine is a 1ltr wire loom that had 3 wires at the connector i used a test light to find which one was power hope it helps

Cheers bud I'll work it out can't be that hard gonna put the carby on today will post up how the wires are connected to 1.3 loom for future reference
