1. What brake pads are you running? Do they provide any retardation of forwards motion? (Mine don't, unless I put both feet on the pedal and try to pull the steering wheel off) 2. Do I really have to sell a kidney to buy a genuine Suzuki solid gold diamond encrusted oxygen sensor, or is there a cheaper alternative. (I know I asked this a while ago, but I'm too lazy to find the thread again, and the one I didn't replace is on the way out now) 3. Do any of you have a GQ Pootrol-ish gearbox noise at around 2250RPM in 2nd, 3rd and 4th? (I do) That concludes this broadcast. |

http://www.suzistore.com.au/shopdisplay ... TARA+SQ625 That's for your sensor, I use dba rotor's & bendex pad's, but by the sound of it your booster has shat, is the peddle harder than normal or will it just not pull up?? G/box noise , didn't you fill the g/box with water on a 4by run?? That could do it. |

Booster is ok, Just that the pads that where put in at the last service are made of recycled banana skins. Don't have any water in SA. |

Check the oil, you can get Bendix 4x4 pad's to, that are the shit.. Did you go the rotor's when you did pad's? If thay are glazed it won't matter what pad's you put in it won't want to stop. I think DBA even do slotted rotor's for Gv's now. |

Sorry, got a little side tracked there.........and got my hand slapped by the wife. I put new oil in the box recently. What came out looked pretty clean. It is possible that it had done a lot of km's despite that though. Mechanic just chucked new pads in, he was up to his neck at the time and said that the discs where pretty good. They started out OK but it just doesn't want to stop now. I'm pretty nasty on brakes when I get exited, so they're probably just glazed up. |

I'm full of hate for the GV at the moment. When I have a run of more than six weeks without there being something wrong with it, I'll change the signature. P.S: Thanks for the links. |

Get the discs machined, if they will take a skim, and stick the Bendix 4wd pads in as suggested. Try changing gearbox oil again and add in an additive. Also change transfer oil. The Bosch O2 sensor is the go |
