ok its time to put some reduction gears in a spare case for my lwb sierra but im not sure where the best place is to get them from lowrange in usa sell the trail tuff they seem cheap. where has every1else been gettin them from thanks Troy |

low range are great to deal with and their gears seem good a few people I know have them all happy |

Don't want to hijack the thread but after the gears are fitted what would you guys recommend to use for transfer mounts as I'm about to fit a 6.5s transfercase into mine. I was thinking a rocktoy and HD mounts but I've heard that I may need to modify the roctoy a I don't have any body lift. Would HD mounts suffice? or Can you get away with standard mounts if you drive carefully? |

Std mounts are fine if your not a lead foot, it's usually the mounting brackets that twist and bend, I've heard of people using roctoy rings without a bodylift but i have no 1st hand experience with them to confirm this |

i have 6.5s with twin lockrights and 31" really grippy tyres and have standerd trans case mounts. i blow maybe 1 mount a year, but i have shitloads of spare mounts. i do take it fairly easy though and prefer to crawl through stuff cos i hate spilling beer every where. 
takes less then 5 min to replace a mount on the side of the road. |

I saw that last Saturday. Geepee had Alex's mount replaced in that time.  Burnt his arm a little on the exhaust though.
That makes sense to me to have an easily replaced weakest link let go. |

I got a rocktoy ring around my case, and I do not have a body lift. My transfer is also slightly raised (probably only about 10mm). The ring does require trimming, but only in one location, and thats where the side of the tunnel comes down. I don't see this as a major problem, though I only run 4.9's. Think there are pictures in me Sierra's built thread. |
