Trying to sort out the ignition on an anti-christ V8 land rover.

The ignition module should be switching the negative side of the coil but isn't.

I'm not sure if it is the amplifier module or the pick up in the dizzy that is cactus.

Should I be able to see the pick up going open and short as I turn the engine over?

have you checked with a test light to see if your getting a pulse at the coil -ive?

if its magnetic youll be wanting to see a voltage pulse across the 2 wires coming from pickup in the dissy to the module

if you have that and power to teh module and the coil but no negative switch from module to dissy theres a good chance the module is shot
