hi guys, tried searching couldnt find anything, although im sure i have read it somewhere in here. i have put a complete running engine in my nt lwb and its from a wt 92 model, it has more solenoids etc on the carby. im keen to keep it all running sweet and stock so need to wire these new electronis up. my old carby has one black wire running to it which i think controls the choke, its on the inlet side of the carby, just near the carby pump plunger. the other carby has the same solenoid but it has 2 wires, black and white/black, also has another solenoid on the front linkages that has one green wire. so my delima is i can only plug one wire in from my factory nt loom into this new carby. if someone can tell me what wire has power earth etc i can i guess add some new wiring in to make it all run sweet again, oh and it wont idle and im guessing that these wires are causing this. it was running excellent in the donor car 2 weeks ago and it was put in my car today with no adjustments or additions, fully complete as it was taken from the other car.
thank guys
Luke

cool royce i will get onto it. the black wire in the car loom has positive 12 volts so i guess it makes sense. i will let you know how it goes, would this make it not idle?

one other thing i did wrong in the change over was i didnt realise that the single small wire on the back of the altenator could go in 3 different ways. i put it on the one i think it was meant to be on, but for clarification which spade terminal does it go on?

you should have a fat wire with a ring on it, thats pretty straight forward, then you have the plug with 2 wires in it, thats the battery sense and dash light so I cant see what else would be down there

I have it wired up but I only have the charge wire and one wire that goes to the 3 pin plug on the back, it is red and I thought it was the charge light

Just remembered here is two wires in the loom that have been cut right near the altenator, they might be the wires you are talking about Royce
