anyone know much about the 1.5 liter engens that are in the swifts and stuff? iv seen bucket loads of turbo and supercharger kits for em and apparently thay are as easy as the baleno motors to fit to the sierras. i dont actually wanna do it, well i do but not at the moment maybe when i blow the 1.6 iv got (it will happen trust me) but looking at the damaged vehicle auctions i recon ya could pick one up pretty cheap and looking at the numbers it would be better than a 1.6 especially considering they are a motor buit to stick a snail on. just after thoughts, bit of a discussion. |

helped fatzook put a M13 into his coily... not a project that i would want to be involved in again... even just from the wiring side The M block is longer than the G block, and if the car is a post 2001 ecu it will have a rolling immobilizer code that means you cant use the stock ECU unless you have ALL of the original ancillaries (even down to the original key, ignition barrel & body control module...) I'm sure Pete will chime in soon |

But the Liana has a M18 & some of the early one's (before 2000) don't have immob at all M16 is also commen in the early Liana's. It's not an easy conversion by any mean's. Can be done tho. |

What gearbox options are there for M series engines in a north-south config? (besides an adapter plate). Obviously M13 Jimny, anything else? and like the G13-G16 are the bellhousings different on the different size M's? |

M series are all the same. Jimny is the only N-S box as far AFAIK. |
