the grill ? or the front clip ? there is a difference
There is no point removing the front clip, but def take the grill out.
Just shove a heap of newspaper in front of your radiator so you dont paint half your engine too.

Not really worth removing the front clip for a respray.
If you ever do want to remove it though it's only a matter of undoing a few wires... Sidelights and earths..... and then unbolting front 2 bodymounts. Bonnet cable and other bits might be in the way but you'll work it out.
Lower door hinges and about 6 bolts in each wheelarch and 2 each side in engine bay.

It's not hard to pull the front clip off I recommend it as you can cheack for rust and treat it while it's off

and it's highly likely that one or two of those bolts will snap will be seized and you'll have to wreck it trying to get it out, which might take about 4 hours

How long does it take to remove a front clip?

I've gotta swap out a right side guard, and the left guard needs a ding popped to make it nice and pretty again... i've got about 4 or five hours to play with after lunch - is that enough time?
