When I had it fitted to mine I just took it to a shop down the road. They charged about $200 to fit and gas it. It was a factory system.

I would think the v6 one would have very little in common with a 92 carby system

surely the only thing in common it needs is a bracket to fit the compressor to the engine. the rest of the system is there including airbox etc

different dash layout on the V6?

the V6 one would take cues from the ECU on what to do, carby one doesnt have that

pipe layout in engine bay etc

yeah a bit more work = buying new parts and paying more labour for system that will be a patched up mess compared to just getting the right system to suit the car

I could get a corolla system for $100 I reckon, be the same effort to fit

i dont think he meant that corollas have a "bolt on" aircon for a vit....

he was just using the corollas aircon as an example, basically, the v6 vitara is a different engine therefore aircon system, so fitting it to the 1.6 will be the same amount of work as fitting a system thats 150 dollars (approx) cheaper for the same effect.
