Hi All, Removing/disconnecting the antisway bar...is it as simple as undoing one bolt, or is there more to it; like having to remove the whole thing? Is there a 'quick-disconnect' system that is easily manuf? Any links I missed when searching for info? Many thanks. P.S: Not for on-road use  .

Hi Mike. Somewhere in my rig thread (link below) is some detail on what I did to make disconnection easier. Sorry there's a lot of pages but it's in there somewhere. To take yours off you'll need to remove the 4 bolts that hold it to the front chassis cross member plus the 2 joints that attach it to the axle. |

ive taken mine off all together during the week and its fine with out it, mind you i have upgraded the suspension.....simple job just undo the bolts you will need a spanner to undo the bolt that is in the knuckle joint on the diff housing. Timmo |

Timmo Thanks Timmo, I have OME susp fitted...bit weary taking it off full-time as I do alot of rd mileage & need the extra stability. Took spanners with today, but couldn't find a nice spot to check the difference accurately...did all the obsticles without much sweat anyway. Will wait until it's a bit dryer - or till i find a ramp. |

Hey Maml I am looking for a Quick Disconnect Sway Bar also, but no luck so far. I now have a spare so I might have a play with making my own. To remove the sway bar, you will also need a pointed nose pair of pliers to hold onto the inner of the stud of the hanger at the axle connection. You will find if you only disconnect one side, that end will get hit and likely damaged when flexing. It might even get you hung up. |

Mike Slow process when relying on other people. I have a reinforced diff in the vehicle so we now have a rolling vehicle, ONLY rolling! No brakes yet. We are trailering the Jim today so that we can get a start on the body work tomorrow. We found another kink inthe sill Wednesday which will complicate matters. I might take some photos as we go. |
