can some one tell me the cv joint closest to the hub on the passenger side is there a circlip/snap ring to hold the actual drive shaft into the inner ball race off the cv. when I removed mine the shaft pulled straight out.. I cleaned it out and found no evidence of a ring but a provision for it on the shaft . referenced the manual and couldn't come up with a decent diagram. any thoughts fellers? cheers Steve/ Fluff |

not a circlip as such, jsut a wire ring that squishes into the groove as the CV slides over it and pops out to retain it once all the way through |

yeah thought so..just wanted to check because the inner joint allows for movement it seemed strange the shaft in the outer joint had no method of retention might raid the grab kits at work fanks royce |
