hey all

I am tring to get more flex out of my sierra

At the moment i have some type of king spring(came with the car) plus a set of teraflex drop shackles.

I was thinking that i would need a longer softer spring to get more flex with the shackles. is this correct? any suggestions?

thanks heaps

ps car also have 31X10.5's and 2 inch body lift
shocks arnt a problem because i dont have any yet

flex is over rated man

so you dont have shocks that are holding you up at present, but what about your brake lines???
how much flex does it actually have?do you have any pics?

but yes you are right longer springs can/will help you if you have shocks and everything else to suit.

GET LOCKERS

hey just rebuilt the rear diff (using hanky pinon gear but all i had on the weekend) welded it up while it was out.

flex's good atm but i just want a bit more. (i am very close to needing to cut out the inner gaurds out) but i dont think that is whats stoping me

ps i made up some custom lines that should let me flex about .5m more than what it does now 8)

dont have any pics that show full flex but here are some.

drop shackles

Ah yes I can see it now.

From the angle of the photo it looked like SPOA. It's clear the rear isn't.

Boge is a brand of shockies. Like Monroe or KYB.

Also, i still have my sway bar on. You can take that off and get a little more flex...

General concensis is RUF for flex...

How much would 2" kings roughly be? They look like they flex well.

Cheers

Have you thought about bumpstop extensions?

Ramp up to full flex, and check if the diffs arent touching the bumpstops
If they aren't at full flex, extend them so they will touch with a bit of pressure
Usually the bumpstop will act as a lever to force the other wheel down further
Your flex will be limited if you are just relying purely on spring flex

sorry took so long to get online guys...

repco does indead deal with king springs,

price wize it was a bit sketchy as the system seamed to have 3 different prices for the same product no.

but for a front set (both sides) its looking at about 260 at retail, and for rears was about 400...

now as i said price is rough as there was a couple of different prices for the same product number, What really needs to be done is us to phone the supplier and get the actual price (and im planning on doing that on tuesday)

so if we can hold out untill tuesday i can get the actual price...

Jordan

and Shansh.... i love that ripping every poor c(@!t Off. its soo tru i feel so shit selling stuff to retail customers when i know what trade pricing is...
