Occasionally on take off i hear a click coming from the rear diff area on my sierra NT, same kinda sound as you get in the front after you've locked the hubs in and drive off.

Today I had some weight in the back and it made a constant clicking under acceleration, got rid of the weight in the back and it clicking was gone.

I would of thought uni's but i only replaced them a couple of months ago unless theyre dodge. kinda has thrown me with the weight thing as it would of only been 50kg.

Had a vibration issue at about 25km/h till about 35, tracked that down to only having 3 saggy springs, so i made up a new spring pack with some other springs and that seemed to fix it.
But i find that with a load in the back it is vibrating again.

So im not really sure what the problem is and where to head to fix it, whether its a tailshaft balance issue?

how good are your wheel bearings?

if the wheel bearing collapses, the brake shoes can be touching the drum and you hear the springs in the brake assembly go twang when taking off. Then the brakes heat up and stuff ya brake calliper, then ya axle seal dies and leaks oil out the diff end, then the oil catches fire because of the heat from the brakes. and you have no brake fluid left because it's drained out of the stuffed brake calliper, but that's ok because the BRAKE light on the dash tells you that you have no brake fluid and you have to use your handbrake to slowdown and pull over

or it could be something completely different

I reckon twisted shackle bush thats binding and slipping as you take off

or the new springs have settled a bit and you need to nip up the U-bolts

Turned out to be one of the uni's on the rear driveshaft, one of the ones i got replaced only a month or 2 ago.
Gotta get that just cos its new doesnt mean its not the problem out of my head...lol.
In the process tho i found out my axle seals are slightly leaking but my brake pads have lotsa life left in them.

After further inspection i found that one of the grease nipples was missing! The guy that put them in had to take the nipple out to get the circlip in then mustnt of never put it back in.
He said they were 2 different (brands or something) unis, so i figured the one without it was a fully sealed thing, but it obviously wasnt.
I later found out both uni's were wrong. The other uni's cups were spinning in the yoke.
The guy that did them doesnt work there anymore and the place is getting lots of F up's he did back
They're doing the one that seized for nothing but i think are trying to charge for the other one.
