Does it effect how the drop shackles work if they are faced inwards or outwards? Because slot of people mount them facing out but they are meant to face inwards??

if rear wouldnt they hit on the tank? just mounth them outwards if you have to, it will only reduce your approach departure angle

Inwards hits fuel filler but I don't know if they will open properly facing out it's for the rear fronts r done

they are ment to be mounted inwards but when there is no room it is ok to mount then the other way.

yes. They are designed to go in for angles as said above. the other reason why you want to keep them in is they are harder for the po po to see.

I cannot think of a reason they wouldn't.

they fully swing on the pin. they still open the same distance, they just fold the other direction.

plus if they dont fit the other way you really have no choice.

I have just fitted front and rear climax shackles. They both fit facing inwards, the rear drivers side just touches the fuel hose cover and has very slighty bent it in, no big deal. This is with a 2' bodylift also.

Why do you have that cover still in? Mine is long gone...Tyre used to rub on it hard..Then i had to strap back the fuel hose..!

I'm running 35 silverstones and it doesn't touch it. It's no where near it. I might try my front climax on the rear tomorrow

haha it will work either direction, i painted mine black and had them facing out as i couldn't be bothered to mess around with fuel hoeses and such. also i have no idea on how the 35's don't touch everywhere....

Bump stopped and big hammer for the front guards the rears just clear. Front just touches technically they are 34.7 but that's pretty much 35

I was running the climax drop shackles facing backwards (on the rear) of my zook for a while.. and they never opened up fully.. when i turned them around, they did. Been like that ever since!!

Sorry mate been a bit busy lately. Ill try get some pics tommorrow. Yep i run a towbar. The metal im talking about is the flismy hose cover bit. Just try them both ways and see which is better, its only a 10 minute job.

Any particular reason front?
If I was runnin only 1 pair, I'd run rears simply because you do loose a bit of steering because of the flex in the front set. (I run F&R)

Because the rear sat higher then the front to start with so it evens the height up now otherwise it would of been heaps higher in the rear. Have u got pics of the right rear with fuel filler
