Guys, does anyone have a M14 x 1.5 tap that they can tap a aluminium water temp adapter for me?

It has a 1/8 hole/thread but need the m14 x 1.5 for the more common size switch I have.

Can travel to you :)

Thanks

thats an unusual size for water sensors from memory what are you doing?

I will try and remember to ask Bruce to look in my box for one

They are around $80-100 and I don't want to buy one for a once off job.

It's not actually a sensor for a guage but a switch for the thermo fan to turn it on and off.

I'm pretty sure there's one at my work (Rocklea). Dunno about sneaking it out of the place though, so you might have to bring the part in to get done.

Send me a PM if you want to follow up.

I bought a big tap a while back, I think it was M18x1.5.

When I was looking there were really expensive ones, they might have been cobalt or something, then there were cheaper ones. I bought the cheaper one and it was HSS. As long as you aren't trying to tap stainless or high carbon steel you should be OK with a HSS one. The one I bought was $30-40, and it tapped cast iron no problems. Tap Magic is good stuff.
