Post subject:  Lockrite, Lokka, Auto-Locker Front for 1994 WT

I have spent all morning searching and cannot get a definitive answer...I have even found a PDF that sort of deals with the subject on the Richmond website but again no definitive answer

What model lockrite is a direct fit in the front of a 1994 WT??

the 1530 or the 1510?

The zook I have bought has an auto in the back and I wouldnt mind going one up the front as well (ill keep a spare set of CV's in my toolbox :P)

what are they like twin locked? Id imagine they wouldnt get stopped by much...except busted CV's

Also who has the hookup for good prices on the lockrite?

cheers

Matt

WTs have a 2 pin carrier, you need a 4 pin which came in NT models.

So I need a whole NT centre?

isnt that going to make finding a matching 3.7 difficult?

an lsd in a zook will act exactly like a locker and be sooo much smoother too. a much better investment than an auto locker.

1510 lockright goes into a 2 pin wt front diff. it is an outerlimites internet myth
that they don't fit i know this as i have one in the front of my car which has a
complete SJ70 front diff in it.

1510 can go into both 22 and 26 spline diffs as you reuse the side gears

don't think about it to much just buy it and put it in. trust me

it is the locker with couplers that only fits 26 spline diffs.

Post subject:  Re: Lockrite, Lokka, Auto-Locker Front for 1994 WT

apparently some very late model sierra's have a slightly different sidegear and
they just have a bit of a ridge on the outside that needs to come off before a
1510 will fit.

X2 to what Shep said about fitting in a 2 Pin front end, as I have a 1510 in the front of my WT, I bought the 26 spline side gears later on when I went cromoly. They are awsome locked front and rear but I cheated and put in PS at the same time.
