I have been a long time owner of vitara's going on 5 years. I have always found them to be reliable and most of all easy to fix. However i am having a problem now that i can't beat. The front wheel bearing nut. How in the world do you get this off. That circle nut with the four nojne threaded holes have something to do with it i'm sure. Any easy tips or tricks would be helpful. While i'm here the problems i have encounted. Broking clutch cable from short from battery. I have replaced to clutch's in vitara's i have owned two. The second time was a waste of a day due to the clutch was fine and the pedal had snapped welded that back together for free. Broke reverse lights gearbox switch broken fuel pump i replaced too of this also. Leaking rear brake cylinder's changed one this afternoon and two on previous car. I have replaced front brake pads. Replaced fuel tank after impalling it. I think that's about it. Oh and do your vitara's hate e10 too? both of mine have carried on like second hand lawn mower if you use it. |

you undo the screws and remove the 'locking' tab first then the nut is done up to seven million foot pounds, I find a punch and large hemmer sorts it out |

you can otherwise pull the caliper, rotor, freewheeling hub and circlip that holds the driveshaft and undo the 4 bolts holding the stub axle on and pull the lot and put a betterer one on |
