My front monroe strut shagged out last weekend and I was wondering what people think a good replacement would be for a 30mm lift on a GV. I am thinking OME but I have seen lovells that look okay. |

i think the OME's are probably the only extened strut... maybe dobinson do one also, while you're looking check out what ODA1 off here has. when you say the lovells look ok is that because you like the colour of them or what? |

when you say the lovells look ok is that because you like the colour of them or what? Ridepro do a 50mm extended strut also that would suit. Very happy with mine, although I haven't had the pleasure of testing OME so not sure how they rate against them. Highly recommend them anyway. |

Just dug up the invoice and the whole kit (2 struts/2 shocks - both are ~50mm extended over stock) cost me $380. Pretty sure that was on sale though, not sure what the RRP is for it. Part number is ZS159103, and its listed as suitable for any model vit/grand vit. Comes with a 2 year/40,000km warranty. Got it from AutoPartsEasy123.com.au (who were bloody good also), their ebay store is: http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Auto-Par ... QQ_armrsZ1 |

$380's not bad.. I've used Lovell's in my Gv, bit soft & seem to loose all the oil when given a hard time, the spring's are perfect, could do with a bit more height in em, but the ride & rate are very good. |

I'll be going with the OME shocks all round when I get a few $$$ spare. When paired with the Calmini springs, how do they effect on road ride? I find the Calmini struts and shocks give a very bang crash sorta ride. I dont know if the OME stuff will help. Main aim is to gain more travel and improve reliability (as the Calmini shit is know to fail frequently) but an improved ride will be a bonus. |

stuey, the ome struts have made a world of difference to the front of mine... some more weight in the front would help even more. i think you'll find the ome rears will be WAY to short unless you want to use them as limiting straps & bumpstops. |

I run Lovells, and like Stekky said, too soft and leak oil. Although I have mistreated mine, I won't be buying them again. I too am looking around for some new struts so when you buy something, let us know. |

the extreme struts are 3 inches longer than stock. in this vit we have fitted all the calmini bits but not the struts and strut spacers and fitted the extreme struts, the rear the extreme shocks were fitted, they are the same length as the calmini shocks but are adjustable and three times the weight
fingers crossed it will be on the 4wd TV stand at the brisbane 4wd in march |

Ended up getting some pre loved struts OME struts last night and fitted them up. Haven't had a chance to try them out but I will go for a spin on the weekend. |
