Licences aren't transferable, you'll need to get one BEFORE receiving the animals. Also, seller must have a licence too to be able to transfer them to yours.
I think you also must keep them a minimum of 6 months (if say you got your mate to take them for you and then transfer to your licence when it arrived, he still has to hold them on his for 6 months) this part of the rule is due to thieves e.t.c.

Seriously, licences are not transferrable and are quite specific about which animals they cover.

Qld license deffently covers these two pythons
Not sure if different states have different specifics of animals

In NT very different. Wildlife have their own permits that get transfered. You just need to apply for a wildlife keepers book thing to keep track of the wild lifes number.
