have you driven on the mt 117 extreme. i only want to know as i want to get some, however i was told they are hard to get balanced and they are not good at all on the road
any info on them would be good

They can be balanced and road driveable. Don't listen to the stories from people that haven't owned them. These tyres are popular with many people on this forum and a proven performer.

I haven't driven on them, but don't really care, cus they will be going on bead locked rim's.

Yep own a set...... But they are great value offroad tyre...... But are definitely not a good or even average road tyre. Absolutely miles away from a normal muddy, but that's what the mt sport is for..

birko wrote: They don't drive on road basically. This is misleading. They are no highway terrain but can and have been used daily. I would say the noise is the worst. I've driven on pedes daily with a rear locker and I'm alive to tell the tale, they aren't THAT bad.

They are Bias ply and as such not as well suited to road use as radial tyres. Your spare will also need to be bias ply, as it is a legal requirement that if you run bias ply tyres, that ALL tyres on the vehicle must be of the same construction.
