G,day everyone it is time for me to let go of my pride and joy. this is a european built motorbike. it has very high quality parts and workmanship. you cant compare this bike to japanese yz's and rm's etc. it comes out factory ready to race. this bike has had a rebuilt motor. it has been sitting in a garage for over 3 years, but has been started every month. its only been riden for about 6-8 hours since rebuild. would really like to see this bike go to a good home. reason for selling is have a child now and just had my seccond knee reconstruction.

TM racing has been around since 1976, TM is well known for build quality, power and reliability. there is a good parts supply for these bikes same as your normal japanese bikes.
The parts that make this bike unique to other bikes are:
the tank is built into the frame unlike other bikes of its age
Twin watercooled head
Billet hubs
Takasago exlel rims
Brembo brakes with a front floating disc to improve its braking
Renthal handle bars
The body design forces air into intake

2001model
TM 250 MX Specifications
Engine Liquid cooled, 2-stroke, reed case
Bore and Stroke 66.4mm x 72.0mm
Displacement 249 cc
Carburetion Keihin 38mm
Ignition Koukusan CDI
Clutch Hydraulically actuated,
wet multi-plate disc
Transmission 5 - speed
Forks 50mm Marzocchi's or 46mm Paioli conventional
Rear Suspension Ohlins
Tire Sizes:
Front 90/90 x 21
Rear 140/80 x 19
Fuel tank capacity 2.75 gallons

this bike is very powerful, the standard 250 yz,cr,kx, and ktm barely keeps up. the 450's are its competitior.
its got 52 hp at the wheel and wheel stands through each gear. you will not be disapointed.
contact doug on 0406398032.

bad points
it needs a new baffle or dints blown out,
has scratches as its a dirtbike.

bike does come with some spare parts.

Feel free to make me an offer, I am negotiable. buy bike as is.
