Hi all

Please see my ad on CarSales (to be added) for further info - but in summary
'93 Vitara JX hardtop 280km Inner Brisbane Keen for a quick sale.

Shes an old Gal but loved. Age it taking its toll, but for someone who has a shop and a passion for these vehicles could take on a great little motor and giver her one final adventure. I would love to see her go off on an adventure or be fixed up good and proper. Ive never been able to as I have no workshop of my own and my mrs wants it gone :_(
Im very sad to see it go, my only consolation that the mrs allowed me to get a replacement in a newer Jimny
:-D

I have an old 93 JX for sale ASAP. Rego expires in 2 weeks. Not done a roadworthy yet but should pass as last year when taking her in for a once over was told shes in pretty god shape considering the Kms

280K Kms - maybe 50 are from me as I am a FIFO worker, and my Mrs cant drive manual, and insists on using her car if we drive anywhere as its 'more comfortable' :-)

Mechanically sound, save for a hiccup on acceleration sometimes. I have taken to a garage a few times but they couldnt replicate so Im assuming its fuel line or carby related.

- Cosmetically challenged, but still alright considering just how old it is.
- Sun damaged paint but you wouldnt know it wasnt part of the design.
- Rubber window lips perished and steel tarnished but no rust to speak of.
- Drivers door card was kicked off when taken to airport parking. They wouldnt admit responsibility. I have cut and fitted a replacement card but the faux leather keeps pulling free of the adhesive on the top side, could be fixed with some small staples if I knew where to get them.
- Drivers wing mirror glass fell off when parked at Bunnings during the heatwave. Softened the glue and it fell off, couldnt save it. Been suggested a glazier might be able to shape one easily but ive not asked yet.

Good Stuff
- Tyres are AT with good tread left and MT spare (seller sold the other four MT's :-(
- Kenwood head unit and 6 inch speakers. Sounds good.
- Replaced some age perished rubber hoses in the engine bay. Cooling system tested after and holds pressure.
- Replaced wheel hub as was leaking a bit. Did CV boots too
- Aircon bearing replaced, runs sweet and cool
- replaced clutch cable all-in-one unit as cable tension bold sheared when in a car park.
- spent 1200 2 years back replacing aging plastics such as door handles, and fixing up sundries and minor issues.
