Yep you sound like an ass, must be a jimny driver thing. Check out the eBay listing, pics of both the interior and Engine bay.

Come on Dan... That's a bit harsh on the rest of us.... $6k is way too cheap!!! Too bad time dare tough and I can't get $6k :(

That child does not look impressed in the interior photo. I really hope whoever gets it drives it just as hard and doesn't part it.

yeah thats my god son. I didn't realise he had photobombed that pic untl i put it up on eBay cheeky bugger.

I really don't want to part it out. It works really well as it is. People just seem to have very unrealistic impressions of what you are getting on this rig! I agree that $6k is way too cheap. But there's a point i'll go to to give it away at 6k whole to see it stay together, otherwise I'll part it and make the $10k minimum in parts that it's worth.

Went thru all the same emotions, thoughts, ideas, and such things with selling Frog.
In the end I got 5 x as much money parting it out, and a few useable bits transferred to the Vitara.
It is inconvenient mucking about with parting, but worth it.
With Frog I doubt I could have got a rwc anyway, so was limited in how I sold it.

i was just stating the facts i have been a sierra driver dor a long time now and from a buys view not being able to see the drive line or running gear makes it hard for the buyer
when selling a car one would think about
the buyers going to want to see the motor
drive line and inside of the truck as with them pics alone you can tell alot if you know what to look for
i was hoping to add this truck to my collection and as a mechanic this 3 pics would of been an asset for you
ass or no ass i was one of the guyslooking at buying your truck

so you stated the facts but yet again missed the fact that there are pics on the EBay add of the motor and interior...

Not everyone has a eBay account. If the car is to cheap then why hasn't it sold? Personally I would never bother looking at a car
that has indervidual components value listed. It's a sierra, sierras if registered on the east coast seem to be worth 4kish$.

Slamming someone who asks a question in a for sale thread is poor judgment in my opinion. You aren't doing anyone a favour by selling your car, they are doing you a favour if they buy it.

This x1000.

The two biggest pain in the ass things when I was car hunting was sellers who automatically assume you are a tire kicker if you ask a question about the car, and overpriced shit.

Fortunately enough this car doesnt fall into the later, but the other aspect you need to remeber is that 95% of people who are looking at this couldnt give two shits if it has $1000 4.57 yukon diffs or a moddified 80 series torque convertor and what not, because they'd have no idea what benefit it gives or how or why its done.

Now lets look at things further. The car is unlockable, so unless you have a garage or a backyard to store it in, this car is out. The car looks like shit, sorry, but it's rough as fuck, you could even run a rag over the dash but still wanted $9000 for this in the beggining, this also says to a buyer "Well, this things overpriced and he probably doesnt even want to sell it if he cant be fucked cleaning it, theres no point in me bothering here".

Then there is the fact that this car can't be registered anywhere else easily because of the modifications, so that almost instantly rules out all interstate buyers because there is no way this thing would make it through the pitts.

This car isn't for everyone, and as stated earlier, 95% of people would have no Idea what they are looking at. If you are really that desprate to sell this thing and not give it away, just part it and be done, other wise accept that you are selling it for a massive loss and deal with it, thats the world of modiffied cars.

you don't have to apologise for thinking it's rough as fuck...i thought that was pretty obvious :)

I've never sugar coated the fact it's rough as fuck or advertised it to be anything other than what it is. 1000000000% agreed its not for everyone. I've said at least three times in this thread if you want to ask questions give me a call. If you are serious enough in buying it I'll take pics of anything you want, just have to ask.

I had rough indications of prices up there because I was going to part it out long ago, I just cut and pasted into this for sale thread. Anyway, not long till the auction finishes feel free to give me a call to discuss if you want to buy this thing!!

If your interested call and discuss.
if not then then Your a tire kicker.
The thread would be better off on topic and not a whinge session about how the adds written or not!

Still a bargin of a car at 10k, especially if you ad up the man hours that have gone into it.

If your interested give Dank a call and say 'hey mate, I like the idea but need more photo's cause I'm interstate.' I'd be amazed if he didn't oblige.

I've been passenger in this rig offroad and also been lucky enough to drive it. One of the best zooks in aus.
