Have a read the first couple pages Tim, it's clear to why he's operating this way... pretty hard to put a price on 30+ year old parts & listing via ebay makes it easier for him to log & track what's sold etc

Hi All,

Tim, you have a PM, a little disappointed that you feel the need for negative posts!

Atari, Thankyou! Positive is always better.

On ebay at the moment is my LJ STOCKMAN rear driveshaft, listed at about the same time as the front one, below is a photo and link:

You should make it clear that this is for a SWB, most people hear Stockman and think LWB.

Hi All,

Sideways, you make a fair point about my description, my problem is I have never really thought of a Maruti as a Stockman. Long wheelbases have always been less common than short wheelbase models in both LJ's and Sierras. I am guilty of assuming that the LJ in front of Stockman instantly ruled out Maruti's, and I always rely on photos for most of the description and I have my number (0428 789854) in every add so people can call and ask if they have any questions.

For the record, when Tim PMed me, I had already taken photos of both shafts in preparation for listing on ebay, I replied stating that I could help him and stated my intentions to list the front shaft on ebay before the fact. Also asked for an email address so I could send photos of all the parts he requested, just like I do with everyone, for some reason the address was not supplied. How can we work out prices of 30+ year old parts without him at least seeing the general condition and that we are talking about the same part? This has happened before a few times and if I can't show people parts, there is no point discussing it further as we may be talking about different things! Hopefully this explains my actions?

Hi Greg

I am looking for a fuel tank for an LJ80 if you have one.

Alternatively if anyone can tell me if earlier model LJ50 or later model tanks i.e. the sierra's/drover etc. will fit without too much modification that would be appreciated.

Thanks

LJ80 tanks are all that will fit. LJ50 are much smaller and Sierra is different. LJ81 (LWB) tanks are different to LJ80 tanks too.

Im sorry but when some one tries to negociate a slightly cheaper price on a tail shaft after being offered one by PM only to get a single word response of "WHY?"
that isnt positive.

Hi All,

Suzuki 1000, I have just emailed you some photos. Sideways is right, LJ 50 tanks are only about 26 litres and Sierra tanks mount up differently.

tanshi, for the record it was not WHY? that would be shouting!

It was Why?

As I was curious why you were trying to low ball me? I offered you one (in similar condition) for the same price, no actually a dollar less than the one old mate bought on ebay, because I knew you had bid on it and obviously wanted one. My thoughts were that is a good idea of what they are worth at the moment, I understand that you were trying to negotiate, just asked why?

On ebay at the moment is my LJ 50 door hinges (3 off), below is a photo and link:

Hi Greg,

I wanted to say thanks, received the fuel tank today and it looks pretty good.
It has been a pleasure doing business.
