Hey guys, Im sadly selling my 1994 wide track stockman after many years. It has got a turbo charged 1.8 litre CA18DET engine with a CA20 gearbox, All mod plated and still 4WD It has been converted for about 2 years and havnt had any trouble from it. It has had a full respray about 2-3 years ago in a briliant white. including the chasis, it was panted black also the body was removed off the chasis to paint it. It is always garaged. Engine has been rebuilt about 10,000km ago with :CP Forged pistons (40 thou over) :Hastings rings :King bigend bearings :King main bearings :All new genuine nissan gaskets :CA18DE (non turbo) cam shafts, to bring boost on quicker It also has :S14 200sx bush bearing t28 turbo :Cooling Pro front mount intercooler :New 3 row radiator with thormo fan connected to switch in radiator :2.5" turbo back exhaust :Clutch about 25,000km old :CA20 5 speed gearbox :Custom length tailshafts :In tank swirl pot, R23 Nissan Skyline fuel sender unit with high volume Denso fuel pump. (pump is new.) :ECU has been chipped, not too sure of brand, came from japan :R32 GTS-T Skyline front seats very comfortable, and also mod plated :Tinted windows (near new) :2" body lift :31/10.5" Maxis Mudzilla tyres about 50% on black sunraiser rims :Also a set of stock rims with Yokohama tyres also about 50% tread :Near new JVC headunit :Sard trigger electronic boost controller (just using as a boost guage) :Apexi turbo timer with battery voltage and 02 voltage display :Mongoose alarm and remote locking, set up so it can be armed while turbo timer is still on :eletric aerial mounted behind cab :Clear face headlights :Hid H4 lights, so high and low beem both HID's :Brand new taillights :after market steering wheel with boss kit :aluminium box mounted on tray :Tow bar :Tacho cluster with later model dash :Later model front end (plastic grille) :It also has alot of other things done, too much to list. I.E. Interior foot well lights connected to door light switches, ECT you will have to see I Also have many spares I have gone to alot of effort to make everything work like it should if it where from the factory.

$7800 for a ruined stockman! Wow, that is pretty harsh, I have seen your build up Ben_Sierra and it is nothing special, bit of plywood nailed in the back with an old oxygen bottle stuffed in and held in place by a blanket. Each to his own mate, it looks like this dude has done some serious engine mods, it has had a body off respray, has lots of nice things like mudzilla's, HID's, lift, seats etc etc. Good luck with the sale mate, can't wait to see the pics. |

Hey, each to their own, I agree... I wish anyone good luck selling their car... But I'm a massive zook fan, and just like a ford purist would cry if they saw a 350 Chev in a GTHO I can't understand the whole toyota/nissan engine in a zook thing... And 2stroker... Unfortunately I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on my zook, so its not perfect, but I make the best with what I've got... But in my opinion I wouldn't even consider paying $7800 for a Stockman with a Nissan engine, and on a public forum I'm entitled to my opinion. Now with that said, good luck 1.8_Stockman with the sale, lets leave that at that... |

If an engine is suited to the task and performs what is required of it, then it's a suitable choice. Don't restrict your capability because the "badge" isn't to your liking. Good luck with the sale. |

stockman is heavier than a sierra, power to weight would make it a better fit |

Wrong. My stockman ute weighs 980 with me in it. The last SWB I weighed was about the same. What makes a difference is the category stamped on the body ident tags. This classifies the vehicle as a passenger or commercial vehicle. Passenger classifications carry heavier restrictions on modifications. Commercial classifications have slightly more room to move in QLD. Thats not to say that a clever engineer can't get around the passenger vehicle regs, but there is such a thing as tempting fate..... Most Marutis actually have the MC? category, which can (if you use the right engineer) run a 1.7 turbo or 2.0 NA without much fuss. Power to weight is a concern, but only after brakes, chassis, and suspension have been addressed. |

Sounds like you have gone to a lot of trouble and time and expense. If it has been done right then well worth the money. Good luck with the sale and I hope we see some pic's here soon. |

Hey guys, sorrry about the pics, as for the mod plate I asked a company in cabulture if it could be possible and was told that they would do it, as far as I knew they where in a different catagorey to say a sierra, that is a passenger vehicle. because they where a 2 door 2 seat utility from the factory they where classed differently. I was told that they could mod plate it. And I have a mod plate on it. |

i had a skyline turbo that i thrashed within an inch of its life for 2 years straight without any problems. i can see why you would want a nissan turbo engine in a zook. the best engine in the best car...i cant see many 4wd zooks sold with original engines in the shannons auctions any time soon so go for your life mate and good luck with the sale! |

I have had 2 ca18 silvia's, gave them a hard time too and never had any problems with either of them. So I knew that the CA is a good strong engine, so it was an educated decision |

Yeah, was not too sure what people would think about the stacks but they where on there when i bought the car years ago and i decided when I was getting the exhaust done after the engine went in that I would keep them for a while. |
