Post subject:  1978 Suzuki LJ81k (SOLD. Still some parts though)

Vehicle
Selling AS IS
It's a December 1978 Suzuki LJ81k
Original drop side steel tray
It's a pre-Stockman model

The Good
It's an LJ, and a LWB at once!
Very original car, matching numbers engine (F8A)
All glass is good
Seats are pretty good
It runs (though the battery is flat, and the carby needs some love)
The tray bed is essentially rust free, the gates/sides have some rust though

The Bad
OK, it has rust, and one or two spots are bad.
The worst two spots are in the front right drivers guard, and in the tub above the drivers feet (I have taken photos of the rust)
The fuel tank was dinted, though I have straightened it, and its probably about 39 litres out of the original 40 now

The spares
I'm selling some spare parts with this car:
- rear diff housing, shafts, and a 4.5 centre to suit front or back
- Jackshaft
- Some spare CV's and swivel hubs
- Spare F8a short motor (rebuilt one, from my hardtop)
- Some random spare brake drum stuff (Will have a near new rebuilt set of front drums with new extended lines that any buyer can have with it, after I disc brake my hardtop in th next week or 2)
- Couple of spare F8 carbies
- Couple of spare dizzies and coils
- Spare seats, the frames are fecked, but the upholstery is OK

Note: Due to the rust in the guards being notable, I know someone who has a good pair of LJ81 front guards (not stockman ones, same as this car), that they will sell for $150; if they are of interest to a buyer.

Reason For Selling
Bought something else...
If I can't sell it, I might part it later in the year... (It might even have a baby with my hardtop or something)...

Price and location
I'm looking for $1600.ono for the car with the parts (not including those above mentioned guards)
I'm located near Ipswich, QLD, Australia
Car is not regoed, will require a trailer or something similar for pickup.

Contact info
PM me, you can reply to this thread if you want. I will be putting it up for sale in a few other places over the next few days.

Yeah well, I didn't really need another one, but it was too good a car to turn down, hence my selling this one; as I'm trying to draw a hard line at 3

Not interested in any swaps. Am only selling as I have too many vehicles, and not enough space.... Apparently 5 Suzukis and a parts LJ is too many :(

Ouch!

Was funny though, said to my old man this arvo that someone asked If I would be interested in swapping the 81 for a Sierra ute, and his eyes lit up..... He really loves Sierra utes  ...... but as it is, he is undecided whether his current Sierra stays or goes. Anyway 81 is mine not his :P
