So is it certified to meet any particular regulations CCDA or CAMS ? There is a bit of difference between what you have and what is in the link you posted, not that I am questioning the quality of yours. |

Lots of diag bracing in the link, none in the one for sale. Propa flash roll bar. The link shows roll bars, the one for sale show, IMO, a bar that will hold up a soft top, bugger all else. |

I think you'd be suprised how well the advertised cage above would work in the event of a proper roll over. |

It's a fair price if it's made from quality material. Steve. |

I cannot see how a bar, that is not braced diagonally will work in the case of a roll over, sorry. Seems to me that it is there for looks only. |

It more then likely would hold up in most rollovers, I never doubted it would, I was suggesting that drawing a comparison between the 2 may be a bit of a stretch. I personally would prefer one with a crossbrace but thats just me. Goodluck with the sale. |

Seems to me that it is there for looks only. because if it made of a decent grade of steel it will resist bending pretty well, we arent talking post packs here but it wont be CCDA or CAMS spec as both need diagonals I am fairly certain and CCDA dont allow bends in the vertical parts of the main hoop |

I paid to have a cage built to a professional quality, with the required bracing, and it cost $1000, this is second hand. If it were fully cross braced, had side bars running under the door, a dash bar, seat bars and a proper harness bar with full certification then $1600 would be fair. |

the reason for a strate bar not a cross bar is so u dont hit your head when 4x4ing |

The foot plates look to be too small ( could be the pics) and even if it was moly, its still only a $1500 cage new, even with diagonal bracing. $2K should get you a full CAMS spec chromoly cage, plated also. Not trying to shit on your sale, but if you had some documentation to verify the material used etc it would probably help you get close to the $$$ you are chasing. |

Its a good cage. Have a look the main hoop will sit further back than the b pillar and allow for stock seat belts to be fitted. I think its a little overpriced but if he wants that sort of coin he will get it if he waits. If he wants a quick sale then he would have put a cheaper price. As long as it being made from chromoly and it has been fully heat treated post welded then he would be silly to take anything less. |

yours does not look like it could be cams approved. the rear barrs have a bend in them which is not allowed. I cannot see anything wrong with the other cage that would stop it from being cams approved if that was needed as long as it is made from the right material. |
