I have removed a 5k motor and matching 5 speed gearbox from my Suzuki LJ81k, as I have bought the vehicle for a project, and I desire a modern fuel injected motor for it.

Am looking for about $500 for the pair (I will not separate engine and box). Am located west of Brisbane (QLD Australia). Pickup only, as I cannot fit it in the back of either of my Suzukis to deliver it... (I have a block and tackle to help load it onto whatever you come pick it up with).

What I know about the motor:
I bought the vehicle unregistered a few months ago. So have never driven it on road. Around the yard the engine felt fine, and the gearbox changed really smooth. The engine does not blow smoke. The ignition timing was out on the engine, I had a fiddle and got it better, but it probably still needs setting to the factory position using a timing light. The boot around the clutch throw out lever needs replacing, and I think the rear output seal on the gearbox should be replaced also. A general tidy up and some paint on the block and sump should bring up to a reasonable engine.
I do not know how many km are on the motor/box, all I do know is the conversion was done into the Suzuki in 1995.

Anyway feel free to fire me some questions, I'll answer what I can :)

Pictures:
You can see the damaged gear boot here, and the rear oil leak on the slip yoke (also a stain around what appears to be a top inspection plate on the box...).

I think its a factory carby, Aisin Downdraft of some sort.

OK....wow
This is "SOLD pending payment".

I cannot beleive how I have been inundated with people wanting this motor and box (none from this site mind you  ). I reckon It sold quicker than a $20 air locker 8O

Makes me want to advertise one I have here, 5K, 5speed plus complete Dellow kit to bolt into a 1 litre chassis including gearbox mount, carbie top to adapt to suzuki 1 litre airbox and modified jack shaft.

I will wait till you get paid and then throw this one on.

I got all my responses here:
http://www.rollaclub.com/

Seems the Corolla people want them to upgrade their 3k powered Corollas easily. I even had a fellow prepared to drive up from Byron bay this weekend to grab it. I thought people would have been over these engines and after 4age or similar instead. Glad I consulted a few people first on what it was worth :)

The guys from rollaclub see this as an easier upgrade to the 4age as it is a bolt in option.

I know where to offload my 5k when i decide to upgrade

Yeah I guess it is a bit like when someone suggests that you pull the F8A out of an LJ80 and replace it with a G13B and all the LJ enthusiasts gringe, a F10A is a much more acceptable conversion. It is the same with a Ke20 or Ke25, a 5K is more acceptable rather than choping up a hard to get classic to fit a 4AGE.
