Post subject:  1998 SJ80 Coily soft top (Qld) SOLD
G'day Everyone, I'm selling a 1998 coily soft top which I originally bought to turn into a trailer. The car looks to have done little track work, but has spent a bit of time on the beach. I'll tell you the bad things about it first:

It has rust in all the usual places, more than I have time to fix.
It has a small crack in the bottom left corner of the windscreen below the rego label.
The engine seems pretty asthmatic, but I'm use to my coily with an injected 1.6.
The soft top is crap.

The good points are, from what I can tell:

The drive train is in very good condition, with a solid gearbox.
It has a 40mm suspension lift.
It has a dent free coily fuel tank, suitable as a donor for EFI.
The front clip, including the grill is in good condition.
Seats are in good condition with no tears/cracks.
Interior trim is intact.
The tyres have a reasonable amount of tread.
It's a coily pompoms pompoms pompoms

I'm after $1300 for it. It's located in Springfield Lakes (Ipswich).

Would be keen for some parts if you decide to part it out e.g. Front clip, seats, trailing arms would grab the whole thing but don't have the cash until I sell my jimny spent my spare cash on an 80 series to tow the coily with

Yes:

The photo of the grill shows light surface rust below the grill. It is the only corrosion I've identified in the front clip. Bonnet is also good.

The front passenger's flare has rust perforating in one spot, which is strange because the clip is in pretty good condition otherwise. Remaining flare's are in good condition.

Windscreen arch has rust in bottom passenger side corner. Photo also identifies crack in windscreen.

Passenger's window arch has surface corrosion as indicated.

At some stage, the lower sills have had rust cut out and replaced with new sections.

There is rust in the body behind the two rear flare's.
