hey guys

selling my 1998 suzuki jimny jlx

this was my project car which i much loved and spent much on, has countless 4x4 mods.

on 10th of december 2010 i had suzistore in midland put in a 1.6Ltr suzi engine and much to my dismay, a week later i got T-boned coming back from fishing by a f*ck head in a commodore doin burnouts.

along with this engine conversion i also had installed a new Exedy heavy duty clutch and new alternator, plus all new clamps, timing belt etc which concluded with a $3,259 bill. all receipts can be shown.

for insurance reasons, i striped the car of any valuable items, (roof racks, spotties, CB radio, gauges etc) so that is cost me less to buy it back. they are still all included with the purchase. and it is now no longer registered, due to the facts its a write off. the car runs fine, engine runs fine, no chassis damage, damage from the crash are the driver side door, and the passenger mirror and when cold a squeaky fan belt. either attempt to fix it and get if over the pits of use it for parts.

i cbf listing everything this car has and so will include a crap load of pictures, most of you suzi peeps on here can recognize the modifications and extras from the piks, feel free to ask me questions.

$4,000

theres a crap load of piks, may need to let them load for a bit. 18 piks all up

suzistore put the engine in, they said they dont know how many kms the engine has done, he said what they do is check the what heads look like and if it looks like shit they recondition the engine, he had a choice of three engines to put in and he selected the best one, the engine has a warranty, but not sure if its still valid after being hit

mark - all you need is the VIN number and you can check if its classed as repairable writeoff... if it is repairable then its $80 to go over the pits and you're laughing.

insurance classed it as a wirte off and i got payed out for it and bought it back. its body damage, chassis is fine, not sure once its deemed a write off what happens to it or what the process would be to get it lisenced again. but if you think your good enough you could attempt to straighten out the bottom of the door frame and put a new door on.

i am actually looking to buy a new car, if u wana private msg me all the details i might consider the swap.

If it was classed as a write off, not a repairable write off, it goes on the write off register, which means it cannot be re-registered... so its a wreck, only good for 2nd hand parts now... :(

doesnt it go on the WOVR ne ways?

either classed as a repairable write off or a stat write off, if a stat write off can only be used for parts other wise can be repaired and live again!

It may be a bit different here in WA, i had an accident in my Vit in Jan last year, very minor damage, but repairs would cost more then 80% of its insured value... they gave me the choice of buying it back, or it would be classed as a write off, put on the register, which means car rego would be canceled immediately, and it Cannot be registered for road use again... i bought it back off them, which got it classed as a repairable write off, so it kept its rego, and could still be used...

like i said - you just need the VIN number of the jimny and you can pass it by DoT to check if its able to be re-registered... if so then you'd be mad not to snap it up mark, as the repairs only need to be dodgy to get the door to seal (if it doesnt already) because once a learner driver starts work on it its going to get far more dings and dents anyway! lol
