Up For Sale Is My 1985 Toyota Hilux 4Runner Live Axle

the plans i had for this vehicle were to put a 2.4 surf engine in and travel altho thats just in the too hard basket so i bought a comfy surf.

This is a 3y petrol with extractors which runs strong, is great on fuel during long trips not so much around town, gear box is a little noisy in 5th always has been never given any trouble, transfer is good both diffs are good front right seal needs replacing started to leak. front drive shaft needs a welsh plug like $5 tops the steering is a little out pulls to the left. and the breaks are squishy altho the hand break works a treat which is rare for a lux, body wise there is very minimal rust. panels are pretty straight all doors work and shut properly and line up all windows work including rear electric one just is hooked up to an after market switch. has a home made snorkel works a treat. also you will notice the sturdy alloy bullbar and heavy duty towbar.

3 inch spring lift no body lift the near new 32" maxxis big horns just rub on full flex at the front only, off road this is sound, great flex with the live axle.

Interia is great, carpet is the only thing that is tatty i use sand matts in her so you cant even see it. the whole rear boot section is checker plate covered very handy for cleaning out after them trips. removable roof works a treat no faults all windows work

Recently had reco alternator and new reg 4 weeks ago there is a twin battery setup i use to run my fridge on trips.

The tacho has a loose wire about a week ago it started turning on and off if you tap the dash it comes back if i get a chance ill take the dash out and make sure its hooked up properly all lights wipers everything to get a roady works the car is rego but selling no rego or rwc i will drive to your house with plates and then remove if you are not too far away other wise its up to you to risk it or get a trailer. or you can pay for roady and transfer rego i just dont have time to muck around with it

is well looked after been to the beach twice with me and both time was oiled up, pressure cleaned and driven through a clean creek after, in a reverse order to that. oils were changed in gbox transfer and rear diff engine is due a service in just under 500k

Comes with spare alternator and carby. and a few other spares.
