a stick is something i'd throw to the dog, but i think a twig will never become a stick.

a twig has no joints where another twig was growing out of it

a stick has joints where twigs or sticks were growing out of it

chopz: its just a bit of humour. as vermin said, if there is anything that australians can agree on as a culture its the fact that we can take the piss out of each other and ourselves. but i agree with you about the aussie pride/aboriginal thread, i never made it, i never knew it would go this far, all i did was answer peoples questions. then someone else would pipe up, then another etc.

atari: sold to you for those sticks, but only because they are blue and confused me  i know its weird in south aus but blue trees/sticks??

shep: its cheap wine, you know the stuff, $11 for 2 litres.

I reckon its a twig if its easily snapped in half with your bare hands, and its a stick if it starts to require effort.

Anyway if you arent happy with the sticks, I have one thong here waiting for a good home.
