The kit includes box, pump, reservoir and hydro ram with hoses.
Perfect for a sierra conversion.

Old Fairlanes had a system that was pushed byt he pitman arm that worked a ram bolted to teh drag link, IE totally seperate
I would think if the steering still worked without the pump spinning it could be approved

It is if it's just an assist and not full hydro. As per usual though, check with an engineer FIRST.

We were talking about hydro assist today, and from what I could gather ASSIST is legal but full hydro is not. Something to do with the lag or what not

Its probably got more to do with what happens when a hydro line bursts at speed. Atleast with assist you would still have that mechanical linkage to the steering wheel.

Yeah thats it with hyrdo and a line blows bye bye steering there is no mechanical linkage.
