This thing has saved my ass a few times now, and paid for itself in its first week... However it doesn't fit on the bike (and the Sierra isn't capable of speeding  ) so its gotta go.

Works perfectly except for the mute button on the plug (there is a mute button on the unit to, so no great drama). Got the mounting accessories and original case.

Chasing $200.

I am very interested in this item !!!

How old is it, and what can it detect ?,
Is it Multinova and LASER capable, and is it dual band ? :D

Edit: I just googled this model, and found an Aussie website review, that says this aint good for Australia... but your personal experience with it, and how it performed, is what i am interested in more !

Ok, well the 2 reasons they give are its detectable, which doesn't matter in WA, and that its crap against multanovas, and its saved my ass from multanovas several times... Paid for itself easily...

K & Ka band, Laser, Safety warning system....

Sorry...but if i recall correctly the law was passed a few months ago for WA also so they are illegal now

The RX65 will be detectable (the Beltronics STI and the Valntine V1 are not) but in saying that...they DO NOT WORK on the new camera's the WA government just implemented or the hand helds....even the radar jammers that previously were successful are now obsolete against the new cameras.

They are working on that though ;-)

Have a look at these....alot more info

Its funny a google search throws up hundreds of links telling you that detectors are legal in WA, and not a single one I can find saying they've been banned. There has been talk of it for years, but AFAIK nothing has actually been done about it.

let you in on a secret -
the new law says that you cannot use a device thats primary function is the detection of radars ect... you get around this by fitting a certain brand of parking sensors front and rear, but this is the good part... there is a free downloadable software upgrade with the parking sensor that allows it to function as a radar detector also. This make the devices primary function a parking sensor, this my freinds is called finding a loophole.
If anyone want said process done to there car i can hook a brother up.

= WIN

Half way down the page
http://www.policespeedcameras.info/Spee ... ws_wa.html

Quote from site:
From our recent tests in Germany the BLINDER M7 series is the only jammer on the market that will jam the Vitronic Poliscan Speed.

As MrRocky pointed out....you can hide them but as far as i know the law was passed not too long ago.
If i find a link i'll post it up but regardless....the only goot thing the RX65 is good for is the OLD multinovas which they are phazing out and will be using on country roads. It will not work for the new Vitronic ones or the police handhelds. It will been but then its already too late as they will have your speed already.

The website is very informative....just have a read :-)

And this is a quote from the NTCs website:

This is the latest version of the Australian Road Rules and incorporates the amendments approved by the Australian Transport Council (ATC) up to and including January 2008. Please note that the Australian Road Rules are model Rules only and have no legal effect. They form the basis of Road Rules of each Australian state and territory.

http://radars.com.au/radar-detector-laws.php interesting read.

And yes while you do make a correct statement all of the other states have adopted it. It will only be a mater of time before WA (wait awhile) adopts it too. Remember WA was the last state to ban traveling in the back of utes so it will happen it will just take some time. I will continue to look for more ref to get a better answer

You guys posting this info about " Supposed " Laws and Rules about Radar Detectors, are really confusing the hell out of me... and its really putting me off buying this...

Can someone post up some real info, with an enacted current Law, that says Radar Detectors are Illegal in WA !

futher searching reveals this as well though: http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/br ... detectors/

this is also a great writeup on the benefits of owning a detector and compares one to having a GPS that warns of camera locations: http://www.adrawa.com.au/Surveys%20and% ... n%20WA.pdf
