Hi Rob. Go for the 09 diesel mate. They are absolutely magic to drive!

We like the diesel for it's wheeling and towing abilities, but the lure of a lazy leather lounge with an auto is tempting... especially when 90% of or driving is commuting... will depend on what we like on the day.

Now if only suzuki could bring out a TD with an Auto...

I think that they left the TD as a manual because there were concerns for the current auto transmissions life expectancy behind the suprisingly torquey TD.

Its wierd that the more expensive TD comes with less options..... Still, I'd be suprised if you didn't walk away with the TD after you have driven one

My mate has the TD and it is one VERY nice car to drive with a surprising amount of get-up-and-go!

Rob. Send a PM to Darkhorse. His mate Terron is looking for one of these.

EDIT: It appears that Darkhorses' account has been suspended

You have a PM.

Id go the V6 over the deisel in a flash. so much nicer inside and they haul ass. Offroad the auto would make up for the lack of low torque of the TD.

Are you talking about the same car? :? The TD GV has heaps of torque down low. 300Nm at 2000rpm infact.

If the diesel came with the same interior options as the prestige, they'd sell sweet FA petrol V6's!

Prestige is still 3.2L V6.... Or was last time we checked.

But we won't be getting any of them unless we can get rid of the current car...

Any takers?

Bump

Roadworthy getting done tomorrow, diff to get replaced later this week.

One of the cheapest GV's for sale with light mods, if you are after a comfortable and reliable runabout that can also take you camping in comfort, this is your car!

Following install of new diff, price will increase to $8000 firm.

What's it like on fuel?

Not bad for a V6, will get 500km to a tank around town (11L/100) and about 600km to a tank on the highway (10L/100) depending on driving style.

Car has been sold... Sad to see it go... but hopefully the new owner gets as much fun out of it as we did!

And you will all be very happy to hear that we ended up with a diesel... Hard to beat all that meaty torque!
