For sale is my suzuki lj81 Stockman.

It is a 1979 model and has an origional 61000 kms

800cc 4 stroke engine.

It is not rusted through anywere, there is only surface rust.

I did re spray the tray and has rubber lining on. The tray sides are also sprayed.
New rear wheel cylinders

New Rear universal joint/yolk

New tie rod boots

New rear brake shoes

Floor has been resored. Restored speedo assembily.

Has new 2 inch suspension lift. (and ubolts/steering dampner)

Needs new wheel bearings.

Sometimes when you try to start it the starter motor slips on the flywheel. But i have never had it not start on me. Starts straight away most times, but does slip every so often. Thats the only problems i can think off.

Will be selling with extra parts. NT Steering arm ( for disk conversion ), Lockright locker 1520 with a 1l diff centre as well. Extra Speedo assembily lights, New front hub bolts, New brake shoes, sierra swivel hub rebuild kit. (for disk conversion)

Car will have the 16x600 bar treads on it when sold, not the bighorns unless we can come to an agreement.

I think thats all.

You can see all the work ive carried out at this web address.

http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... 87&start=0

Looking for $4400 ONO (For car and all parts listed above)
Or $3800 FIRM without any added bits.

Please feel free to come check the car out on the SUNSHINE COAST.
If you are interested.

MAY consider swaps for a WT Sierra Soft top.

Is registered at the moment but will be sold with no rego and no RWC.

Just want a sierra that i can take long distances and 4wd with whilst keeping my jimny for a daily drive. Something i can happily sit on the highway with and drive to the 4x4 parks.

Also, if you get a LWB get a NT. Better spring spacing and honestly, you will have a hard time finding a WT LWB

Just do what you need to do Mubby, your 81 is worth more now, before you tip her over again anyways. Must admit, trailering has its pros and cons, and I find it isn't practical to go far in mine. Also to be honest I was tempted to get rid of mine and get a LWB on the long drive home from Glass house. All the gear is off the shelf too, good luck.

Ummm...... no. I'd still have to strip this down to do what I have to do to my current vehicles. I don't want a stock LJ81... Plus I'd be nearly 4k in the red and no better off than I am currently......

This car would be suitable for someone who wants a close to original vehicle.

Well the car has about 5 months rego left on it but i would have to get a road worthy and fix the wheelbearings etc before sale.

So i will only get all that done if somebody is willing to pay $4400 for the car and all the bits. But otherwise i will be cancelling rego when its sold.

Whats the story with the paint? Looks like its still in primer at the back of the cab in one of those pics. Is this the case?

I'm trying to pressure a mate into buying an LJ.
