from what I can recall... They were the rockhopper SIII...but I MAY be WRONG!!!! from http://www.roadlessgear.com/page/RGL/PROD/D/RG110 "The Series III gears have 6.129:1 gears installed and will provide you with a whopping 170% reduction in gearing in low range (21% in high range)." I never installed the case in a vehicle. Was part of a bulk purchase many years ago. cant be certain if they ARE truly those. |

Do it salih. You won't look back! Gears are the best money spent on a Sierra. These are even better, buy it and bolt them in, can't get any easier. |

Can we confirm that these are 5.1's? Check the number of spins of the output in low range? |

just_cruizin wrote: Thought S3's were 5.1 which is great for 31 Nope. S1's were 4:1 ( or thereabouts) S2's were never a real product. But later on the Calmini 5.14:1's were given this name as they fit inbetween RH S1's and RH S3's. S3's were 6.1:1. I have owned these personally. Good gears. S4's were the replacement for the S3's. They came in a 6.4:1 ratio. I believe the S3's were the first gear to come with a lifetime warranty back in the day. |

Cool story shakes. I have some magic beans. I'll sell you these for x amount. There is an easy test that I could perform to actually make sure these beans are magic. But you should just take my word for it, an if you did ask me to perform said test then i would make a smart ass comment back and make it sound like an incredibly difficult task. Good luck with ya sale |

Count them and see. Put the case into low range, turn the input flange on revolution and count the revolutions of the output flanges. Don't worry about the .1, just make sure it turns 6 times. Then you know it's either 6.1's, 6.4's or 6.5's. |

salih wrote: ahh ok well shakes sayed he did it and it dos exactly that so shouled be all good... 33s here i come Just spoke to shakes and they are deffinately 6.1 S3 gears. These used to be in my old sierra and were perfect for 31-33 tyres. I had them in a SWB WT. Carby 1.3 on 3.9 diffs and twin lockers. The thing was a machine on the silverstones shakes is also selling. Ahh the memories. |
