Firstly the short:

Seller: John - 0430560701

Make/Model: Suzuki Sierra - 1988 LWB

Location: Ipswich 4305 QLD

Condition: Used - Good Condition

Price: $7500 firm.

Reason: Pay for international trip & more suitable (read hardtop) car.

Modifications:

- 1.6L EFI G16B Reconditioned engine - Engineered in QLD
- 6.5 Reduction gears & 3.7 Diff Ratio
- Custom Transfer Case Cradle/Guard
- 1Lt Front Clip
- 2" Body lift
- 2" Transfer Case Lift
- Wide Track Diffs w/ TSOR perches under NarrowTrack Chassis
- 31" Cooper's
- Chrmolly Front Axels & CV's
- ARB Bull Bar, Custom Steel Rear Bar
- RUF & CJ Front springs in rear, these are 100mm Longer reverse eye custom leaf packs (includes one spare front & rear leaf pack)
- Bucket Seats (Engineered)
- Twin Stick Offroad Fuel Tank Guard
- CD player, Alpine 400w amp & Alpine 'S' 6" splits.

The Long:

It is used, it does have one noticeable scratch on the front drivers guard. If sold it will have 6 months rego (expires march 2013).

This car was rebuilt chassis up after an accident last year, new chassis was sourced, wire brushed & painted, modified to suit new springs and rebuilt from there.

I love this car and would like to keep it, BUT I'm finding less and less time to use it, and would much rather see it go to someone who will appreciate it more then I. With that said, if I cant sell it for the price I want i'm happy to keep it all the same.

Thanks for reading.

*EDIT*
car is booked in with an engineer on the 19th of november to have the chassis modifications, wheelbase extension and body lift plated (Codes H1, H4 & K3 for those interested). This means that I should be able to provide a RWC with the car and transfer the rego. It also means that the only non roadworthy item on the car (if you choose to use them) will be the tires. All other items modifications will be completely legal.

Due to the added cost involved in doing this, the price is now FIRM. I will not sell for less than this.

Haha wish it was that simple. :(

Its just becoming less prectical for me to have it & cant afford two rego's if I were to keep it and get another car.

Its maybe worth it but i seriously doubt some one is gonna pay what your asking.

you would be better off selling the bits that arent attached, i.e sliders, tank guard. etc seperately and trimming down the price.

I realise that but as stated, it is stil lhalf hearted. If I can get what I'm after then I'll be stoked, and that price isnt firm, I am open to negociations. Otherwise I'll just keep it and make do, haha.

Price amended to a more resonable price. Unfortunately it's gone from half hearted to requiring a sale.

I understand it is. Still abit of money for a Sierra but I feel it's a fair price based on the condition and the work it's had done.

Cheers John.

Try dropping the price and you might get some interest. You have no chance getting anywhere near 10500

It is ONO, I am open to reasonable offers.

Secondly, why would I drop my price to say, 6-7K, when the only two long wheelbases I've seen worth mentioning are selling/sold for around that price and either required a complete rebuild or were next to stock (by no means putting those items down, they are worth that, just using it for justification).

To Move it.

I don't mean to offend John, but really, your price is obscene! (I'm only saying this to give you my honest opinion, and try to make you see your ad from everyone elses perspective)
Yes this is a very tidy LWB tub, and yes it has some useful parts, and the vehicle performs well enough offroad to satisfy most. BUT the facts with olds Suzukis is they are nearly always worth roughly the value of the sum of their parts (plus a bit of a fudge factor for being regoed, tidy, ready to go etc). Some oddball ones in totally standard state may fetch more curious prices, but this isn't an oddball car, and it is irreversibly modified.

My honest opinion is $5k would move this car quickly enough; asking 6 or 7 would get enough people in your door to look at it, and with a little patience you could probably move it for roughly that price range. Any more than that seems unlikely; but your 5 figure asking price is a significant barrier to most people even considering looking at the car (and you need to get people in the door if you want to move it).

This whole ad gives me this impression:

Once again, I don't mean to offend you, and I know how much work and money you have put into this car. But the 3rd person looking at this ad is going to be shaking their head in disbelief... If you want to come talk to me about why I think this, thats cool, you know where I am...

OK,

Price has been dropped as far as I am willing to go and I'll leave it at that.

Price IS negotiable, if you are interested we can talk about it further privately.

For everyone else, if you feel the price is still to high I ask that you either reserve your comments for yourself or PM me to discuss further. It is a very tidy LWB and you would be incredibly hard pressed to find one in the same condition, let alone build it to the same standard as this one for the money I am asking.

With the 6.5's, 3.7 diffs, sierra 5 speed and 31's the speedo is around 6km/h out.

100Km/h on the taco is around 4000rpm. I drive up and down the ipswich/centenary motorway regularily and never have any issues.

Will get about 310Km to a tank, maybe more if its all highway driving. I never have any issues with wondering or steering wobbles.
