Still available think it is out of 2001 model but they are all the same, I have 2 of them now and a front housing minus minus axles, cv's and centre.

thanks jimny_timmy

do you also have the centre with the second rear diff?

Post subject:  Re: Jimny rear diff

The centers are going in my coily the turbo has a habit of completely destroying them so I need to keep spares until I can figure out a stronger set up

Ok,will the Jimny rear diff centre bolt into a Coily,ie same ratio & using coily axles.
Reason being rear diff is stuffed on mine and i know where there is a low K Jimny write-off. TIA.

Bolts in using coily axles but not the same ratio but I am running a Jimny front diff which allows me to run the Jimny rear

Post subject:  Re: Jimny rear diff

To run the Jimny front you need to change the housing too the jimny has a smaller center which means either removing the spring seats off the jimny housing and welding the coily lower strut mounts onto the Jimny housing or chopping the upper mounts off the chassis and adding the Jimny spring saddles the first option would be the easiest option and shouldn't need engineering. The Jimny housing is also slightly wider but this will give you access to spare diff centers and front axels and cv's that are easier to find than coily stuff

The jimny fronts are like glass... Well the cvs are anyway can't se how they are an upgrade to be honest?

It depends how you drive I have only done 2 cv's in 4 years of comps it is an easy solution to the lack of coily parts available without going to the major effort of swapping to wide track or hilux diffs.

Wide tracks won't cut it either I don't think the crown wheel and pinion are about the same size as the jinny rear and not much stronger when it blows it takes almost every tooth off the crown wheel, the curse of too much power.
