imo 12 yr old tyres with good tread, are still near worthless.
But it depends how they were stored etc and how perished they are

i dont want to dispose of them as they may still be of use to someone.

they were stored in a shed. no perrishing or tyre rot. i had them checked at my mates trye shop and he said they are still perfect

Surely you have a price in mind, that you want to hear.

Because a tyre shop dude says they are perfect, doesn't really make make it so.
Are they fitted on rims, and inflated? If yes, how long have they been on rims, and how long have they been inflated?

If anyone chooses to run oversized 12 yr old tyres, imo they are really pushing their luck. They just need some wheel spacers for the trifecta.

Accepting the tyre shop dudes expert advice, id still say near worthless. But that's my opinion, someone may think they are the awesome and happily pay more.

EDIT: I am sitting in front of a keyboard, and haven't seen them, but I personally wouldn't use them on the road.
Probably ideal for on the farm type usage.

A little off topic, but somewhat similar situation
I picked up a set of 7r16 retreads (not old or damaged, just retreads with great tread) on stockman rims for $80.
I considered running them for a while, and thought F*** that, they can go to the farm and be used there.
They seemed like a good idea at first, but going to run them, I changed my mind. Just didn't want the extra risk.

Sorry Alex but ya do need a price  viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29111

IMHO i wouldn't pay more then $100 and that's only cause the amount of tread left on them and i would only use them on a trailer that does short distances or on a farm only rig
Tyres have a expiry date for a reason even if they do look ok and have been stored out of sun light there is still a good chance that they will delaminate/separate once they get hot at that age

Just ban him Joe. Armsup

Fatzook better pull his finger out & finish camo III, or those 33's he got from the tirerack will be out of date before he gets to use them.

I read it as older design from 2001? Could they be newer but that tread pattern? I don't know how regularly cooper change the patterns.

tyres have a manufacturing date on them, pretty sure they were made in 2001 from chatting to him about them.
