Hi Guys,
I have a G16A for sale. As the title states, it has been fully rebuilt, new pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, water pump, timing chain, head, the whole box an dice. The dizzy hasn't even gone in yet, but its there and will come with it. Also machined flywheel and brand new clutch and pressure plate. Motor also comes with extractors.
The story of this engine is;
I bought the motor in a 1990 SWB Vitara from a mate of mine who is a mechanic. The plan was to build it for his daughters first car, and along the way he has fallen quite ill and can no longer work to full capacity. I bought the car from him with the intentions of pulling the motor out and transplanting it into my Sierra, however I am now having a change of heart as I have come across a vehicle that I simply have to own. That means I'll live with the motor I have for the time being. This engine was professionally machined in the same shop that recoed my sierra motor, and the machine work alone cost $800. The mate of mine is a professional mechanic that works in a repco workshop, and is the guy I trust with my fully restored EH. His work is fantastic, and hence why I bought the car.
Now as a teaser, this car wouldn't take much to get back on the road, and I have thought about doing just that, but to be honest I have way too many cars now and I need to move this one before I can bring home another. All parts are there to finish the job, and the car has power steer, a/c, power windows, rola roof racks, and was a regularly maintained vehicle its whole life. I have another ad on here for the car should you wish to take a look. The motor is currently sitting in the car, but I can remove it no worries.
So..... I am very firm on $1100 for the motor, including starter, brand new clutch kit and machined flywheel, headers, manifold and carb, everything you'll need to drop it straight in, OR, give me $1500 and take the whole car. Id prefer to see the whole thing gone as a job lot, but even I you want to strip the car the sum of its parts is way more than $400. As a comparison, the guys recoed my G13a, I just dropped it off and picked it up, and it cost me $1800. The shop is called RLC engine reconditioners in Capalaba, and they can verify their work and also the quality of work that the mechanic assembling it does.
This would be an easy project for someone with a little ore time and motivation than I

Feel free to shoot me a pm or even a text. 0418 256 240 All Located on the Gold Coast.
I want to move this asap so I can get onto my new project.
