Im selling my ever reliable and bulletproof 2002 DR-Z 400E
It has served us (my dad and I) faultlessly for the last 8 Years.
It is cheap to service and so versatile being a motard and also a trail bike. It is best of both worlds.
A reliable and massively fun commuter on the road and also a very capable off road bike.
Bought back in 2007 2nd hand from a family friend this bike has a cared and looked after history.
The motard conversion was done by an engineer at Awesome discs in Ringwood, Vic.
Motard conversion consists of;
- Honda NSR Rims
- Suzuki Bandit Front brake disc
- Honda NSR Rear brake disc
- Aftermarket custom machined brake calliper front bracket
- Aftermarket custom front motard guard
The disks are road bike discs because stock DRZ 400E Discs (particularly front) don't have the required stopping power for the road and would overheat and warp easily. This one has been done properly!
The conversion from motard to dirt bike is very easy and will take about an hour after you've done it a couple of times.

- Oil Changed

- New Spark Plug

Motard Tyres are Pirelli Sport Demon tyres
80% front and rear
Dirt tyres are Michelin Cross AC10 (DOT approved for road use)
70% Front and rear
The plastics show 13 years of use on the dirt so are scratched and marked, but not destroyed.
You won't find a better more versatile bike for the money.
