Why are there never any good condition original LJs for sale?
I'd pay $2k for a good condition stock LJ50...

To me, its not an LJ50 if its got a Corolla motor in it. A big part of the magic of the old LJs is the 2 stroke motor...
I know where I can get an LJ50 motor and box, but since most 50s I've seen with 4k motors and boxes in em have have the firewall and tunnel cut to make room, tends to ruin the car...
I've got a mate who has 2 fantastic stock 50s, two great stock 80s and a mint stock LJ20 in his garage... thats the sort of thing I'm looking for...

if he was a real mate he would sell you one and if he was a great mate
he would give you one
good luck anyway

Nice bonnet! I like them better with the proper motor too but at least the corolla fits under the bonnet.
