There is a a place out Bayside that makes them, I've heard they are the only ones that will make brake hoses.

dont buy second hand ones. your saftey and others depend on them working properly so just buy new ones or get them made to suit. Wreckers are not even suposed to sell them.. Its against the law.

No.
Some Enzeds will not do it because of 10k + extra insurance per year.

youd reckon a hose blowing on some large machinery has the possibility to cause a much larger liability bill than a bake hose going on a car that has an immediate failsafe and warning system built in

Sometimes. My hyd hoses just seperate layers or leak over time, and fittings leak. From what i have seen.
Onroad must be a higher Liability.

I have replaced brake lines that I thought looked dodgy, and I had an old Nissan that had a brake line weep causing the pedal to sink when you held the brake on. But has anyone actually had a brake line completely rupture when they put their foot hard on the brakes.

Biggest brake failure i had was a pad jumped out..
But your better to buy new, They are cheap.
Any brake place should be able to do them, and some hydraulic hose places.
