My sierra is at the Diff joint now and he cant find one and a new one will cost $1200 so i realy need one asap

i paid $1060 for an RD88 which will fit the rear of a sierra...

Joe got one recently for less than 1k, but he's from WA so probably had to do some weird kinky WA camping shit to get it that cheap. 8O

While your at it, you may as well buy 2 rear airlockers and some double tough chromo axles/cv's... Do it all at once and do it properly :) it will cost u a bit, but its worth it....

Well they are on the to do list with the SPOA and 32s i just got of ebay

How much for the ARB Dual compressor, The one with the double fittings ?? any body got a price ??

they both have dual fittings, the smaller one is only suitable for air lockers... the larger one is also usable to tyre inflation. approx $300 for the larger one.

OK, Got some bad news

The ARB air locker doesnt come with a diff center, well thats what my diff guy said just the parts that make it a lock diff,

So im still chasing down a Rear Diff center guys any help would be shweet

Or is there any other diff center that will fit that will improve my zook ??

the air locker is the diff centre.

you still need the housing and the crown wheel and pinion( gears)

meaning if you get an airlocker you can use a front one to make up a working diff.

So your saying i can use the rest of my diff parts on the air locker, what if there damaged ??

I have a feeling this diff guy dosnt want to do the Air locker lol

Well the drive sharft is loose and every time i change gear it makes a clunk noise

that sounds like back lash or possibly a collapsed bearing.

the housing and ring and pinion should be fine. The Diff guy should know if they are or not.

the air locker will be usable with the gears and the housing you have

Have you thought about getting a reputable 4x4 shop/mechanic involved... i don't know of any up in melbourne, but i'm sure they're would be heaps of places that are very capable of doing the work. Maybe post something up on mudrhino, as most of the members are from melbourne on that site.

Were the drive sharft is bolted to the front of the diff its loose there and is leaking oil

Yeah thats what it sounded like lol well ive told him to put the diff back together and ill take it home till i find a diff center, so ill just not bring it back to him and take it to 4x4 obsession
