thank you for the link, i've heard of using commodore springs, astra springs upside down strut mounts etc,,, i was hoping to pick up a ready to go lift kit, was kind of hoping someone was upgrading from 2" and wanted to sell the old kit, i've seen few sale for $250 - $400 but i keep missing out. i have a 4wd weekend coming up in two weeks which i
ve been looking forward to for almost 2years now, its going to be epic, i still need tyres and underbelly protection as my fuel tank get hamered.

Wrong.. 31" will not fit "nicely"

I run a 2" sus lift with a 2" body lift, have done some bashing to the guards and they still rub a bit

It's a Vitara... How are you going to get anything close to damaging the sump when the front diff is bolted directly under it?

Auto box (if fitted) and fuel tank are about the only under body bits that need protecting.
Sill sliders would be next.
